You may purchase a kit for $30 with plenty of supplies to make many small to medium size projects. This kit includes a foam used as your working board, 2 oz of undyed natural wool batting (core wool), 6 – .5 oz colors of wool and 6 needles in 3 sizes.

I will be glad to hold free classes for those who want to get a feel of the felting needle and wool. You will pay for just the cost of supplies at approximately $5 per class of only one session for 2 hours.

We will make a variety of very simple small projects so you can get the feel of what Needle Felting is all about. They will be “Make-It and Take-It items so you can go home with your projects. You will have purchased 2 different sized needles and ~2 oz of undyed wool, with your $5, so you will be able to go home and play a little bit.
Beginner’s Classes – Mystery Feltings
This class is just plain fun at any level.
Beginner’s Classes will consist of two or three 3-hour sessions planned over just a few days. The classes may be morning, afternoon or evening classes. We will make projects that I will get you started on and then you will most likely need to do some of the work before returning to the second session. Felting is rather time consuming so we will not be able to do the entire projects in class but you will be able to work on your own and then come back for the next session and we will learn more and hopefully finish our project. If not, you will know enough to be able to finish at home.
Mystery Feltings will definitely stir your imagination and you will learn several techniques in the process. What you create will be a surprise to all of us. Each person’s felting will be something very different….some learning different techniques depending what your creation will require. This is great for beginners and beyond. This will require 2 sessions and you will have felting (homework) to do between the 2 sessions. I will get you started and you can do some of the work on your own time. Second session we will finish up and you can complete the rest at home once you know what you are doing.

Workshops are for those who have taken a “paid” class. The Workshops will be for 3 hours for $5 assuming there are at least 2 students participating.
We can just sit, felt and chat and if you need help with a project on the same level as the class you have taken, I will help you. It will be a fun and a relaxed time in my studio.
